The difficulties that bring people to therapy involve an interplay between the inner world and what is occurring in life. Growth and change are a constant, exciting part of being alive. But change rarely happens smoothly; there tend to be periods of struggle, then periods of ease. Difficulty or pain, however it manifests, is a call to become more conscious of your personal evolution, and active in shaping its course. Your distress may indicate that you have outgrown life as you have known it, or that your life is demanding that you step up into new skills. Either one can inspire positive growth!

Our holistic, life-affirming approach considers each of these components as we work to clarify the issues, identify successful interventions, generate effective coping strategies, and support the emotions that accompany meaningful change. We strive to catalyse positive change by putting you in charge of your experience.

To that end, we use an eclectic range of techniques, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, insight oriented, interpersonal, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, narrative, solution focused and systems based.
